Sally Yeatman's brother, Griffin Yeatman, was one of the pioneer residents of Cincinnati, Ohio, moving there when it was known as Losantiville and had only a few houses. He ran a historic tavern known as the Square and Compass, overlooking one of the earliest landing places of the Ohio River, a cove still known atoday as Yeatman's Cove. The tavern was the center of all civic and social live and visited by such luminaries as Lafayette, Andrew Jackson, and Aaron Burr. He was the county recorder of Hamilton County for many years, He also served as justice of the peace.

The stone next to Richard Thompson has been laid on the ground and is impossible to read. Cemetery logbook shows that this is Sally Yeatman Thompson.

Sarah married Thompson, Richard on 25 Jun 1798. Richard was born on 29 Jul 1776; died on 27 Jan 1841; was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Cooper, Missouri. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
