He was assisting in putting a swarm of bees into a hive, when they stung him so that he expired in about ten minutes. Also New Hampshire Sentinel, 1820-07-29. | 1463 | Sally Yeatman's brother, Griffin Yeatman, was one of the pioneer residents of Cincinnati, Ohio, moving there when it was known as Losantiville and had only a few houses. He ran a historic tavern known as the Square and Compass, overlooking one of the earliest landing places of the Ohio River, a cove still known atoday as Yeatman's Cove. The tavern was the center of all civic and social live and visited by such luminaries as Lafayette, Andrew Jackson, and Aaron Burr.
