  	Mustered Out, Nashville, TN. 1884 Documents in support of his renewed pension applications say that he had contracted measles and a cold; and had deafness in one ear as a result of his service. The soldier writing this "support" said he often talked to Jasper at the tail end of marching line during the campaigns.
